Road Trip: WVPASS, SQL Saturday Louisville and Indianapolis

I am preparing for a little road trip. Starting this Thursday 7/19 I will be visiting my friends down at the Wheeling, WV chapter of PASS. My good friend John Sterrett (blog | twitter) is the leader of WVPASS and he asked me if I would like to speak at the user group meeting. I readily accepted and am really looking forward to taking the “Upgrade Roadmap: Let’s Delve into SQL Server 2012” on the road again. This is the same presentation I delivered at SQLRally,  and SQL Saturday #119 Chicago. It had good reviews at SQLRally and I have tweaked it a little since then.

Friday morning, I am back on the road on the way to Louisville, KY for SQL Saturday #122. This will be my first trip to Louisville and I am really excited. Unfortunately, my beautiful wife Julie Purnell (twitter | project365) will be unable to be my driver like she usually is. So I’ll be flying driving solo.

My presentation topic in Louisville will be “Professional Networking for IT Pros”. This is something that has grown over the past 3 years for me and I have been speaking on it since January of this year. I really see a need for networking skills in the IT community and I have made it my goal to help everyone with it in any way I can. So if you want to learn about networking , stop in and check out my session.

On Friday, July 27, I’ll hit the road again for SQL Saturday #126 Indianapolis. This will be the 2nd trip for a SQL Saturday in Indy. Julie and I had such a great time last year we had to come back again this year.  Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We can’t wait to get back to Indy. In fact, Julie will be flying in Friday night just so that she attend the event.  I will be presenting on Professional Networking for IT Pros, same as in Louisville.

Hope to see you at any of the above events.
